Motorcycle tours of the islands are by far the best option as they give you the flexibility to stop in different places and enjoy each landscape.

I don't think it is convenient to visit many islands because there is not a big difference between them, it is better to concentrate on the most relevant ones, especially if you don't have much time. In two weeks we were in Tahiti, Moorea, Huahine and Bora Bora..... I think the time allotted to each one was excellent.
Buying mosquito repellent and lying down every 4 hours is essential, we were eaten alive!
I also recommend to bring letters or something to entertain yourself at night because there is not much nightlife and few alternatives to go out at night especially if you do not have a car....
Transfers between airports should be coordinated earlier because what we heard from those who did not do so was that it was much more expensive.
In Bora Bora Bora the recommended restaurants are Bloody Mary and Saint James.
Regarding the excursions we did the lagoon tour in Bora Bora Bora which is the most complete since we swim with manta rays and sharks which is the most typical. We also did Diving in Bora Bora but the truth is that if you are not certified you have to do the beginner dive that is not so good because the depth is only 6 meters and versus what you see in snorkeling there is not much difference...
