You need to follow the following steps to complete this tutorial

Step 1 ) Open es file explorer and click on the upper left corner button.

Step 2)scroll down and Enable show hidden files option

Step 3) Now Open internal storage and scroll down to bottom to whatsapp folder and open it

Step 4)now open media folder

Step 5) Now you need to open .statuses folder

Step 6) now Select any status you need to save in your storage and click on copy option

Step 7) Navigate to the folder, in which you need to save the status and click on paste

In this way you can save your friends statuses in your storage.
