I'm excited because a few days ago, List.ly featured one of my lists! In fact, two lists have been featured on their Twitter account, but this list was sent out in one of their email newsletters.
It's really nice to be recognized! I consider this to be a pretty nice win, even if it is just "exposure points".
The featured list is one for Canva tutorials. I created this because I noticed my other Canva-related post was doing well on Pinterest. I wanted to see if another post would be shared as well as the other one (and it was!).
I'm glad to see this because one thing I blog about is design. I want to be able to sell a course on using Photoshop for graphic design. One of the ways I plan to get potentially interested people to visit my site is by showing people who use Canva but want to move up to Photoshop that it's actually not as difficult as they might think. The hard part is really just knowing what tools to use and how.
What is Canva?
Canva is a web-based graphic design program for people who aren't actually designers. It makes it easy for people to create nice graphics to use in their blog posts or to promote them on social platforms like Twitter, Pinterest, and of course Steemit.
I'll be honest, I'm not much of a Canva user. When I create graphics, I prefer to use Illustrator or Photoshop because I know these tools already. But I realize a lot of people depend on apps like Canva to make graphic design a bit easier.
What is List.ly?
List.ly helps people create curated lists that can also be embedded on other sites. They also have a WordPress plugin which is what I use on my own blogs.
The List.ly browser extension makes it really simple to create and share lists. I've also got the premium subscription so I can create these large lists, though free accounts do come with up to 3 premium lists.
I really love creating lists with this, so you'll probably see me sharing more lists here on Steemit.
View the Tutorials
You can view the list here on Blog + Create or on Listly. If you're totally new to using Canva, start at the back of the list. I put more specific tutorials on top because basic tutorials are everywhere, but the specifics really spur new ideas.
I also have a list of social media graphic templates that are either created specifically for Canva or have elements that you can load into Canva or other design apps.
