This is a great write up and a perfect way to explain how everything works here in what you called 'Steemland'.
I was reading up on the articles about Zuckerburg talking about blockchain tech saving facebook, but like you said, they have gone way too far in the wrong direction and stolen from a lot of users, especially on Instagram where people lost huge amounts of interaction with their content.
Personally I'm really loving Steemit and Dtube as a new-ish user of the site. I think as the platform develops it will naturally weed out any of those only here for a quick buck while continuing to reward and encourage the loyal user. It's so well designed to be consumer controlled it works in a much more structured way than anything else I've used before.
