It's less than twenty-four hours to the Ibadan Steem Meet-up and I'm excited! I'm sitting at Jade's Cuisine.
Jade's Cuisine is right beside the venue for the meet-up. I've wasted a large part of my day and I feel very terrible. I know some of the guests would be on their way by now. I can't think of anything else but my presentation. I want to give my very best. I want to outdo myself because I know that the world is watching. I have big dreams in my mind.
I've decided to give some spoilers of my presentation. The title of my presentation is Steemit! I plan to give a general overview of what Steemit is while paying attention to some salient details.
I plan to start my presentation with a quote from Steven Harvey: "begin with the end in mind'
I'll start by telling the audience what I hope to accomplish at the end of the presentation. I'll tell them that the big picture or end goal or purpose of Steemit is as to empower ordinary people, provide them with a solution to make them secure their life, liberty, and property. Steemit is also designed to "Empower Entrepreneurs to Tokenize the Internet"
Finding Free Market Solutions to Secure Life, Liberty, and Property
Dan Larimer was the CTO of Steemit. He is the visionary programmer that designed the steem blockchain. He is no longer with Steemit but I love him. I love his vision lives vision. I love his core values. He believes in freedom and non-violence and using economic parameters and nonviolence to cause real-world change. Steemit was build to ensure a fairer means of producing and distributing money. It's all about decentralization. Decentralisation makes it so that everyone stands a chance. I've said it before and I'll repeat it over and over again: the purpose of Steemit is to empower people to make them free.
Steem will empower the people to disempower organized crime
Empower Entrepreneurs to Tokenize the Internet
I was not surprised to see this (Empower Entrepreneurs to Tokenize the Internet) in a few days ago. I've always wondered what
's vision is. Ned Scott or
is the CEOI stumbled upon it months ago when I was reading a post from
. He said that he got the change to interview
and
said that his goal in Steemit is to tokenize the internet/content web. That is what resulted in the creation of smart media tokens. With smart media tokens, anyone with a blog and a community can create their own token. Just imagine that you can create your own money. It's fantastic! with smart media tokens, steem will be the Ethereum of the Social media. It would be a platform for other social media or content platforms to launch their own ICO's but they would have to use the smart contract provided by the steem blockchain SMT. This would facilitate a huge demand for Steem and "take Steem to the moon" (It would cause the price of Steem to go up).
I didn't plan to write these much things. It's just that when you are seated in a nice restuarant with a view, you tend to get some really good inspiration. I love this place ; Jade's cuisine but I wonder why they don't have too many customers. I'm going to come here more often.
This is just the first part of my presentation. I'll still talk about a lot of things. Things like the following:
- The "Eba" Analogy: A tale of ulterior motives.
- Steemit as a social media blogging site.
- The three currencies in Steemit
- Where does the money come from.
- How do I get paid.
- Steemit for non-bloggers.
- How to succeed in Steemit by showing proofs
I plan to make my presentation fun and very interactive. I have twenty-five minutes and it's not enough. I can talk for the entire day.
That's what you should expect from me tomorrow. I hope these spoilers ignites your enthusiasm.
See you in Ibadan!
I got interrupted by the waiter, while I was writing this post. He is a nice guy. I told him about Steemit and he immediately asked me to sign him up. before I completed this post, I got him signed up. His username is . I did a little tutorial for him. I liked his spirit at once. Within five minutes of telling someone about steemit, I can tell if they will suck or become "whalish."
It's good to be nice to people, you never know the customer that can give you a mighty $0.30 upvote and open your eyes to a blockchain world of auspiciousness and many monies.
I also got a free meal. Can you dig that!
