Here are the things I did this week reacting to Market Conditions and my Investment in Steem.
I believe in the Steem Blockchain, but I am not excited about the direction of our stakeholders' decision process, communication and vision. Those who are making the decisions using Delegated Proof of Stake. (DPOS) are in my opinion disconnected from the community and do not understand where they are going and why. If they do have a vision they can not or choose not to share it.
So this is what I've done.
I sold a bit of Steem and have a powerdown of 200 SteemPower per week going. This is mostly to express my disapproval without rage quitting or doing harm. Consider it feedback for our Stakeholders and Witnesses. I believe in incentives and accountability and while I know my stake isn't big enough to matter I believe in using whatever influence I have as a reflection of my views.
I am still only voting for a very few witnesses as most of them aren't here and engaging. They do not report to you and I, because they don't have to.
I bought some PalNet, because I think think the people who created it have a vision of trying to create a social media platform that fits more sizes. Do I think they are doing it perfectly? No, but I think they are trying. I also don't think it is the only Community Token we need, but it is a great start. I am throwing all of my support at them, because it is a start. Get your Palnet and use the tag!
I've been expressing my views to use any social influence I have to try to impact the community. I will continue to do these things.
We are entering a crypto Bullrun in my opinion and it is sad to me that we have not positioned ourselves to capitalize on it. This run will bring interested Mainstream people into crypto, we have done nothing to get ready for that.
Dan is doing us a favor by mentioning us so often in their hype and will at least get our name out there when our own team is not.
I am staying involved in Steem because I think we do have some talent and potential here and I think the vision of Communities and Scot Bot tokens replaces the vision of SMTs. We still may get SMTs, but I'm just over waiting and I want to use what we currently have. I will re-evaluate my view of SMTs when and if they are released.
This up and coming week, I will continue to use my voice, my stake and my experience to try to influence where we are headed and that does not include cheerleading what I think are bad moves. :) Those of you who want to view that as complaining, feel free to ignore.
On Saturday's I will continue to make updates on my views of the Steem Economy and where we are headed.
If you read this far, I need a logo for my Weekly Report and if you make me one and I select it you will receive 10 Pal and 10 Steem. Do I know what I want? Nope. Surprise me.
