This is a China-built infrastructure project, with an increasing number of countries involved. The silk road project is a new paradigm of global governance and the most important strategic initiative in the world, that opposes global neoliberalism.
It is a conflict of two models of how to manage world flows: on one hand, neoliberal dogma, and on the other hand a new silk route. A confrontation between these two models, between the outdated (with which the US and its allies insist) and new, which is not exclusively Chinese (China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa and other countries).
While the global neoliberal model is causing economic, financial, environmental, social, migrant and ethical crises and is also battling us with armed conflicts, the project "One belt-one road" is accelerating around the world with the construction of infrastructure, which is a prerequisite for the development of underdeveloped and developing countries - to the level of the developed countries and even further. In its very foundations, man and people with their abilities and skills are the greatest source of self-worth.
The implementation of the new silk road project is improving the 500 year damage to underdeveloped countries and developing countries due to their colonial and / neocolonial position. In around seventy years, the IMF prevented their development and kept them in permanent misery in the conditions of restructuring the economy (privatization) and borrowing.
These are two different management paradigms. On the one hand, we have western neoliberalism with an emphasis on financialization, and on the other hand, the Chinese project is investing in the real economy, more precisely in the transport infrastructure. The financing of these projects is strictly separate from speculative investments. The basis of cooperation is the sovereignty of individual countries and non-interference in their internal affairs. In concrete cases of investment, it must be clear that concrete negotiation of power runs on both sides.
We can not imagine the Chinese negotiators as generous and understanding, but must approach the negotiating table with an ability that is equal to the Chinese partner. Undoubtedly, it should also be understood that China has the benefit of engaging its free capacity in the construction of transport infrastructure, which needs to be opposed to its capacities in the negotiations. We must also understand that China wants to expand its markets, but at the same time they know that their goods can be exchanged with the goods of other countries.
