Magandang buhay!
We were so busy that it felt like the day went like a flash. The hubby went out of town in the morning for an errand, and I thought I would laze around to recharge, but then the crack in the screen door's outer lining screamed for some attention, and I couldn't ignore it. And since I was feeling crafty, I took the tools out and went on to work on it. I didn't realize it was already past 1 in the afternoon until my cousin arrived to pick up some stuff. I was so focused on the task at hand that food didn't even cross my mind, lol!
It was 3 when the Farmboy arrived, and I was yet to finish. I want it to be so fit that no tiny creatures could enter, lol! Truth is, I don't like it when flies or mosquitoes come inside the house, but the hubby can be stubborn, and he would swing the door wide open, especially around noon time, hence the screen door.
But yeah, he took charge and continued what was left of the job, and it was my chance to bathe the LilGuy, then enjoy some snacks afterward, since I skipped lunch.
A short rest ensued. But I was bothered by a distant cousin's passing. She had a similar medical diagnosis to Mom. Since she was 20+ years younger, her physician recommended surgery, and she underwent it last year. She started chemotherapy sometime in March, if I'm not mistaken. It saddened me so much that life is truly fragile and unbelievably short, even for a very active woman like her. I pray she rests in eternal peace.🙏
And before I get to cooking dinner (rather late), let me just take a quick look at my week 40 numbers for my SSC progress update.
2,185 HBD is in Savings, up by 29 from 2,156 last week, thanks to the interest received earlier today. It has been automatically added to the vault for a little more interest in the next 30 days.
Sats balance remained the same (216.4k), and Hive Power grew by 178, ending the week with 28,743 (from 28,565). While BTC came close to setting a new record high, HIVE remained under 20 cents. Come on, Hive, you can do better than that.😅 It made me wonder when the Koreans would go wild and pump it like they usually do in the past.
Anyhow, that's about it for the day. Glad the sky cleared up, giving us some sunshine around mid-morning through mid-afternoon. We are grateful that life is still good, despite the unforeseen challenges, and yes, grief.
