I already made few posts about this incredible butterfly. Maybe you wonder: so why then you made it again? Reason is very simple, in first generation which one we can see in early spring and in second generation which I noticed is appear before two days, their looks is completely different.
Yes, I'm speaking about same kind of butterfly called Map (Lat. Araschnia levana) it belong to the family of Nymphalidae. In first generation they are predominately orange-red while in second generation they become mostly black with few white applications. Why this happen, frankly said I have no clue.
Beside buch of photos, I also made a short video about this beauty. First records I made during month of March and last one during last two days. Sorry for the non existence of sound in video. Original sound was so terrible because of wind, so I decided to turn it off.
