Men's doubles pair Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo / Marcus Fernaldi Gideon scored a hat-trick in the event India Open 2018. In 2016 and 2017, Kevin / Marcus also successfully become champion in India Open.
The victory in the final was achieved by the world's one-ranked pair over Kim Astrup / Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark), with the score 21-14, 21-16.
This title is the second title of Kevin / Marcus in 2018. Last week, Kevin / Marcus has just become champion in Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2018.
With this victory, Kevin / Marcus also recorded the title in five consecutive tournaments at China Open Super Series Premier 2017, Hong Kong Open Super Series 2017, BWF World Super Series Finals 2017, Daihatsu Indonesia Masters 2018 and India Open 2018 BWF World Super 500 Tour.
Despite the defeat in the group stage at the BWF Dubai Super Series Finals 2017 over Takeshi Kamura / Keigo Sonoda (Japan), but Kevin / Marcus replied and eventually still pocketed the title in the tournament.

Indonesia won two titles from the India Open 2018. In the women's doubles, the pair Greysia Polii / Apriyani Rahayu managed to steal the title after beating second seed, Jongkolphan Kittiharakul / Rawinda Prajongjai (Thailand), with the score 21-18, 21-15.
