For me, a nostalgic image is one which portrays a sense of fondness or a longing for some past circumstance, existence or a moment in time. Further, its typically something that can now only be pleasantly recollected and reflected upon.

There were so many wonderfully nostalgic entries in this past week's bwphotocontest, making it a real challenge to pick these winners and honorable mentions.
