Here are my entries to ' B&W Photo Contest ~ New Theme Announcement ~ Waterscape which will be judged by
.
All photos were taken using Nikon D5000.
First entry: Silky Waters
Taken at Camp 6, Tuba, Benguet. This is a variation to this post.
I set up my camera in long exposure mode and used a filter here to give that silky effect. This particular river changes every time I visit. What I see here is different than our previous visit. There was an earthquake a few weeks before when this was taken which covered the pool that was supposed to be where I am standing when I took this photo. Aside from earthquake, during the rainy season, typhoons make the water level to rise. That is one factor that makes this every changing river.
When we visited this the next time after this photo was taken, the landscape changed again.
Locals call this Hydro 2. On the other side of the mountain, there are three falls falling into each other. That is called Hydro 1. Camp 6 is a few kilometers from the #Baguio-City proper.
Other attractions along Kennon Road are the Lion's Head Landmark, Bridal Veil Falls, Klondyke/Klondike Hot Spring and Colorado Falls. (Read more here)

Second entry: Anchored
Taken at Dasol, Pangasinan
Pangasinan is located in the western part of Luzon along South China Sea. Luzon the biggest island of the #Philippines. Pangasinan means "place for making salt" (pang means for; asin means salt; and -an indicates location). It is named so because the province produces salt. The province is also known for Calasiao puto which is a rice cake baked in oven. Due to its location, the province is rich in rice and also aquatic industry paving the way to Bangus Festival.
This provinces also offers one of the best beaches which they are famous for. There is Hundred Islands in Alaminos which is now a national park. There is also Bolinao and Dasol .
Aside from beaches, Pangasinan has waterfalls, caves and other tourist destinations to visit.

Third entry: Memory
Taken at San Fernando, La Union.
La Union is said to be the center of Ilocos Region because it is located in the central southern part of the region. San Fernando or San Fernando City is it's capital. On the western part of the city is the South China Sea.
There are lots of beaches and resorts to go to.
The picture below was taken in one of the resorts we have been to. I took a morning walk and chanced upon this man enjoying his coffee by the sea. There used to be a structure where he stands. I am not sure whether it is a house or a resort that was washed away by the sea. There are still remnants of the structure that used to be there.
