This is not a strange see creature. It is a flower, that blooms only a night.
For this reason, it is very difficult to photograph it from the technical point of view. I used an external light, backlighted it and a tripod.
This plant is quite common in Venezuela and I have it in my garden. It is known as Bella de la noche, and in English as Queen of the night it scientific name is Epiphyllum oxypetalum.
