In school, my history lessons usually started with the Founding Fathers. The rich and vast history of pre-Columbian North American was relegated to several paragraphs as mostly pre-amble to a Eurocentric version of history.
The Guardian posted an article on the ancient city, Cahokia, which was built in what is now Illinois. It was populous, thriving and then abandoned almost overnight. All we have left is a mound. I am MADE of questions right now and look forward to reading more.
