Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been officially announced and will be launched on October 25th, which will mark the return of the most acclaimed first-person shooter series of the brand. Call of Duty returns to its origins after Black Ops 4, which has moved a long way from family tracks, even though it intends to innovate in many ways. It's a reboot of the series, as you can guess from the name, with a completely new story featuring "some old friends." Do not miss the one-player campaign, where Infinity Ward concentrated on the official trailer of announcements.
The new title, published by Activision and developed by Infinity Ward, involves players (especially fans of the old school series) in a modern conflict where decisions could change the global power balance. The new Modern Warfare provides the entire game with a unified narrative experience and a transversal progression that includes a single player campaign, multiplayer online, and cooperative mode.
"This is a brand new re-imagined Modern Warfare in all aspects," said Dave Stohl, Infinity Ward's co-Studio Head. "We are creating an experience full of emotions inspired by today's world headlines in which the rules are not clearly defined and the battlefield is blurred. Players will fight alongside several international special forces and freedom fighters in amazing missions set in iconic European cities and in dangerous Middle East scenarios."
Every design decision has been made with our players in mind, "said Patrick Kelly, creative director and co-studio head of Infinity Ward." We want to unite our community with the launch of Modern Warfare. First of all, we planned to use cross-play support to play Modern Warfare together on PCs and consoles. Second, we eliminate the classic seasonal subscription to offer all players more maps, free content and post-launch events. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare presents a new graphic engine that uses different systems to make game action more engaging: photogrammetry has been used to manage models from a physical point of view, a new hybrid tile-based streaming system, a new PBR decal rendering system, volumetric ambient lighting, 4 K HDR support, Raytracing on DirectX (only on PC obviously) and a new GPU geometry.
