The storm has passed, so the weekend started calmer. While some areas are still in the dark due to damaged power lines, major mobile networks were restored early in the day, and I'm grateful to learn that everyone in my family (immediate and distant) is safe and sound. Apart from damaged crops and such, most people in the locality are okay. Thank God🙏
My heart goes out to those who have been severely affected, those who have lost loved ones during the onset of the typhoon. I pray that they can still find the courage to go on.
Like the previous night, I had a hard time getting a shut-eye and instead found myself snacking on sesame-coated cookies around midnight.
I don't know about others, but food keeps me sane somehow, especially when I'm at the peak of worry. I know it's not a good habit, so I'm working on it.
Anyway, the sky has given us a bit of sunshine around 9 am. It was warming to the soul, even for a short while.
At midmorning, I nibbled on some colorful M&Ms. Well, it's not out of anxiety, but it's because I was relieved. The hubby says he's on the way home, yay!
The LilGuy wasn't left out, of course! He has something to chew too, albeit a little paler in color. Doggies biscuits, they must be tasty!😁
Aha... our tummies are happy!
But I was not to forget our Saturday drill. HBD Savings are still growing, 1777 now, up by 32 HBD from the last update (1755). Nothing happened with my sats though. I almost spent some tiny wee amount to test the EVM login on VSC, but I used HIVE instead.
Meanwhile, my HP has crossed 27k (27022 as of this writing). It increased by 138 during the week. It would be nice if it hit 30k by the end of the year. We'll see. Until then, we just keep on. No pressure!
