I was quite stressful because of bad financial situation so just took a bus to Cambodia.
The first stop was Phnom Penh. Shared tuk tuk wiht two others girls, we went to the "Killing field" - a MUST place to visit in my view. Just visit it, then you'll know why there is a deep sadness in any Cambodia. The first time I visited Cambodia, I thought crazy bright sunlight and black skin make their eyes look that upset. But now I discovered the fact.
However, they are quite friendly and always smile to me. I saw a cool old man driving tuk tuk, I rose hand to say "hello" and he gave me a big big smile.
After that, we went around the city, visited few temples as it's late afternoon. The tuk tuk driver dropped us at a night market, we got some thing sweet - kind of desert I guess for dinner, then went shopping. Clothes are cheap there, with good quality. I heard that Cambodia is famous for silver jewelry, there are many shop about it. Very nice and reasonable price. But remember to bargain.
We took a night bus to Siem Riep, predicted to watch sunrise at Angkok Wat.
The bus arrived at 5h30 the following day. A bit late for sunrise. Lucky, I met a small group and joined them to share tuk tuk again. He took us around Angkok Wat. It's incredible. There's no word can describe it.
In Angkor Thom
I spent a night in Siem Riep at a small dorm very near the night market and tourist hub. Nice atmosphere for travelers but I prefer Angkor Wat and jungle, not the city. If you have more time, visit Angkor Wat for 3 days, go to river or just cycling around the enjoy the nature.
A bus came to pick me up in the following morning to go back to Vietnam. A very short trip I know, very enjoyable and relaxable as friendly people, nice green town, and far from computer, numbers, analysts...

Here are some tips maybe useful for you:
- USD is accepted there. No need to exchange. Just keep some in cash.
- The price for Angkok Wat has rised, check it before coming. I was lack of money as I only brought $100...haha...crazy me. Fortunately I met a girl who was willing to lend me $30.
- Massage is nice. Should try. Even I had only $8 left, I still got a foot massage ...lol...
- Food is cheap but not so special.
- My dorm in Siem Riep is Domitory Boutique, a nice one and $3/ bed / night - booking via booking.com one day in advanced.
- It's supper hot there, take some water with you, vitamin C, and find some fresh smoothie - not boxed juice in convenient shop. :p: .
- A rain coat or an umbrella is needed. Raining season there now.
My camera was tuck so I couldn't take much pics. :sob:
