Studying about Canada, its history, culture, government, rights and responsibilities is not really what I was hoping to do during this long weekend. However, my citizenship exam is approaching and I couldn't leave it for the last day as this is an important event in my life.
So I read the "Discover Canada Study Guide" two days ago and worked on some practice quizzes online. I think I will be just fine although there is way too many names and dates to remember for my taste.
I just read an interesting article:
Happy Canada Day! A new poll says the vast majority of Canadians would fail the citizenship test
I enjoyed reading about all the provinces and the territories of Canada. Now I finally know all their capital cities.
I was very intrigued about the differences between the provinces and what they have to offer. I want to travel around Canada and see my new home for myself. So far, I never really thought about it because I always wanted to go to travel around Europe which I used to call my home and see all the beautiful countries there.
Now I think I will have to rearrange my long term travel plans and squeeze in these Canadian destinations.
Happy Canada day to all the people living in Canada!
