Hello, steemians! Welcome to my page, eh!
This is episode 2 of my cannabis chronicles. I can't call it sad cannabis chronicles anymore because my second seed sprouted. :-)
I've been taking pictures of the plants pretty much every day this week, since my first post about the plants. I figured that would be the best way to document their growth. This is the first time that I've actually grown cannabis, so it's a new adventure for me. It's really not any different from growing tomato plants, but still, it's something new.
So, lets take a look at the progress so far. This was about 4 days ago when I noticed the second seed starting to sprout out of the starter pod.
I took a picture with a piece of painted plywood behind the plants for better visibility.
This was 3 days ago, after getting my plant starter light set up. The light is a 2 foot single bulb strip light with a 6500 Kelvin T-5 high output bulb. The bulb uses 24 watts, I'm not sure how many lumens it puts out.
This picture was taken yesterday. You can see the first set of true leaves starting to sprout out of the small plant. The larger plant seems to be doing pretty well now that I have it staked up.
I took these pictures today, just before sitting down to write this post. I moved the plants together for this "glamor" shot. The larger plant is the variety "cannatonic" and the small plant is the variety "blue dream".
Here's a better look at the way I have the grow light hanging above the plants. You can see that I have the light fixture adjusted so that it's close to the top of each plant.
It's kind of funny that I've been taking so many pictures of the plants, it's a bit like when someone gets a new puppy and they have that need to take lots of pictures of it. :-)
I think the space under the light is going to start to get a bit crowded pretty soon, I need to get my tomato plants started for the garden. I don't know what else I'm going to start yet, but I know I need to get the tomatoes started soon.
That's all I have for this post, I hope you found it interesting!
Thanks for stopping by my page to check out my post, eh!
