Hello, steemians! Welcome to my page, eh!
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to try to germinate a couple of cannabis plants. I had a few seeds of a variety that's called "Cannatonic", but they didn't seem to be viable. I had tried earlier in the year to get a few of them to sprout, and had gotten nothing. I tried it again using the last 2 seeds that I had, putting them in peat starter pods in one of those little seed starter trays with the clear top. I did manage to get one of them to sprout, but I wasn't expecting it, so I wasn't paying too much attention to the starter tray. When I noticed that the one had sprouted, it was already grown up against the clear top. I put the tray in my window with a couple of my house plants, but of course, it was growing toward the light, so it got a bit spindly. I finally put it under a desk lamp with a 5000 kelvan LED bulb so that it wouldn't have to reach so much before I get a better light set up for it. Of course, by that time it was already bent over like spindly plants do when the leaves start getting too heavy for the skinny stem.
Here's a better look at the plant. I repotted the plant so the roots would have more room to grow.
It seems to be doing ok, even with the skinny stem. I'm hoping that the stem will get stronger, even if it stays this shape. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
Because the other Cannatonic seed didn't sprout, I planted a Blue Dream seed in the other pot a few days ago. I'm waiting to see if that one sprouts. I'll keep trying different seeds until I get another one to sprout. I don't want to get too many plants going at the same time, I don't have room for very many of these plants. I can legally grow a certain number of plants now in Michigan, but I can't grow them where the public can see them. That means I can't put them outside. Maybe I'll find a spot in the greenhouse for them that's hard to see from outside, but that may not work. Once it gets warmer outside, I'll take a better look at the situation. The plant is too small to worry about it yet anyway.
Well, that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. To be continued at odd intervals as developments warrant it.
Thanks for stopping by my page to check out my post, eh!
