Grand Daddy Purple Strain Review
GDP has become a legendary strain and the staple for Ken Estes and his Grand Daddy Purple Genetics breeding company.
He achieved Grand Daddy Purple back in 2003 by crossing Big Bud with Purple Urkle, and the rest is history.
GDP is known for it’s dense purple nugs that are large, frosty, and full of amazing smelling terpenes.
This is an amazing strain for gaining sleep, appetite, relaxation, and pain relief while providing a wonderful euphoric effect.
Grand Daddy Purple is a potent strain that can provide great indica effects to even the heaviest of smokers.
This is also a favorite strain for intermediate to advanced growers. Not only are the flowering times quick, finishing within 60 days after the flip, but the yields are nice and high thanks to the Big Bud Genetics. Humid areas might struggle growing this strain due to the size and density of the buds, and their ease of growing mold. Make sure to run a dehumidifier and keep a close eye on your plants if you ever decide to grow this strain.
This is one of my favorite looking and smelling strains of all time. Grape and berry dominate the smell and flavor profile of Grand Daddy Purple. This, along with the amazing bag appeal of GDP, makes it a favorite for many smokers and growers alike!
