Two conflicting trends are hitting the United States: a continuing shortage of qualified or willing candidates for truck driving jobs, and the increasing state-level legalization of medical or recreational marijuana.
The two trends certainly don’t mix. David Couch, the Little Rock attorney who wrote the medical marijuana amendment voters approved in 2016, doesn’t want marijuana users driving big rigs any more than the most anti-pot politician does.

Here's where it collides: IT DOESN'T. You don't want cannabis users driving trucks? Why not? You've got a bunch of drunks behind the wheel and you damn well know it. They're not drunk when they're driving, though, so it's okay. Well, guess what? Cannabis users can drive without being high, too! Yeah, I know. Crazy, right?
People like this can either get their heads out of their asses now, or just wait until they're forced to open their minds because they can't hire anyone.
