Well Oregon has gone and done it. It has grown too much weed and now the Feds are looking to keep an eye on all that Pot flooding out of the state and into the Black Market. Well done Oregon, from one frying pan to another. I can say I have had first hand experience of this. I own a small portion of a very successful Recreational farm in Oregon. I also served as consultant during setup and continued the next year in managing the operation.
Oregon is looking at capping license's now as rumor surfaces that lawsuits are being possibly filled against the OLCC for not offering a more stable marketplace for its business owners. All of this comes together in a perfect storm as prices have plummeted 66% from last year on the wholesale side. Very little price reduction to the end-user though!? In example a farm that produces a pound of Cannabis, this time last year "2017" could expect compensation of $1500/pound for the commodity. 2018 prices are sitting at a all time low of $500/pound if you can even sell it in the flooded market.
