This is a picture of a spidermite piercing a ball of resin on a cannabis plant. With there been no scientific research (yet) one can only hypothesise what its actually doing.
Is the spidermite extracting a single chemical constituent out of the resin ball?
Is it working with the plant by biting the leaf and extracting plant sugars and synthesizing them into aromatic hydrocarbons (terpenes) and injecting this back into the resin ball?
