The Orange hairs on the buds are called pistils these pistils and the trichomes are found only on the female plants The orange hairs actually have no affect on the thc content and they are used to collect the male pollen and once they do so they will start to produce seeds. The trichomes (small white hairs) are used to make the buds sticky so that the pollen from the male plants will stick to the buds making it easy for the pistil to collect. And the trichomes are the only thing that effects the thc content (pistils are the orange hairs trichomes are the white hairs)
