Oh the Grand daddy of the them all the GDP. An older strain, Granddaddy Purple is an indica dominate strain that originated from crossing Purple Erkle with Big Bud. Both parent strains are fantastic in their own rights and the cross led to a legend in the making.
The smoke of the GDP is very smooth with a strong fruity, grapey, berry aroma and taste. It is quite delicious and the high is fantastic. As with all cannabis, results will vary with individuals. As a chronic pain sufferer, I tend to prefer the indica dominant strains and GDP is no exception. One could relate the body high from this medicine to the couch or recliner. It tends to be a more sedative effect with a floaty euphoric mental high.
I find this to be an exceptional strain for a wake and bake as my pain is at its peek when I wake in the morning. On a side note, if you are not a daily or experienced cannabis user, I would not recommend this as a morning smoke for you. If you do you may find that your day becomes a little less productive and a little more fun... but who complains about that.
Please let me know if you have tried GDP and what your opinions are on the wonderful cannabis strain.
Peace,
The Last Sage
