Hi all 👋🏻
As I haven’t shown you more photos from my last Classic Mini yet/ I owned her for OVER 10 YEARS, I wanted to show you now. And tell you a bit more about my minis.
Over the years I had 4 Classic Minis and in between a few other brands of course, (Volvo, BMW, Peugeot) but I always go back to a Classic Mini. It is the MINI VIRUS / people call it.
I just love them 🥰🥰🥰
Unfortunately… 😔
For health reasons I had to sell Her (as I always called my last mini lovingly) beginning this month, as I could no longer drive in the car. 😳
My back problems didn’t allow this further. I tried of course… for the last 2 years to make it work… but just couldn’t. She even ended up in a storage, all alone. And seeing her there made me even more sad. But I found a collector to take her over from me. So I do hope she found a loving new HOME
I doubt that I will own a mini in the future again. sigh
But guess what; Luckily I have all my memories of many, many crazy adventures with my minis and lots and lots of photographs of them 😎 I tell you some stories later on, not all at ones.
if you don’t want to miss them, a follow should help with that 😉
Without further ado:
HER a Rover mini 1000, CheckMate from 1990. (Special edition)
Some more photographs to follow:
The day I arrived in Spain after 5 days of travelling to Move from the Netherlands to the South in January 2015. Still with the yellow plates… I imported her in the months to follow. Onto Spanish plates
Early morning drive through the mountains when I lived up in Iznajar, Cordoba. My first months in Spain. I just had to stop to photograph her with this backdrop.
Shining bright at a villa in Arenas, Spain where I painted many murals in, over the years. 🎨
I even moved in the villa for a while and instead of paying rent… I painted murals. Thought that was an amazing deal 😎
This was a sunny day at the beach, driving back from a hotel in Salobreña, Granada where I also painted some murals inside. So much fun that was.
Me painting one of them:
Me longggg ago during a photoshoot for a calendar with my mini. Trying to look lost. Lol
Awwww so many sweet memories… I have with my last mini.
I better tell you now a bit more about the Classic Mini. I will do so with the help of Wikipedia.

The Mini is a two-door compact city car that was produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original Mini is considered an icon of 1960s British popular culture. A CULT SYMBOL.
On its introduction in August 1959, the Mini was marketed under the Austin and Morris names, as the Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor. The Austin Seven was renamed Austin Mini in January 1962 and Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. In 1980, it once again became the Austin Mini, and in 1988, just "Mini" (although the "Rover" badge was applied on some models exported to Japan).
BMW acquired the Rover Group (formerly British Leyland) in 1994, and sold the greater part of it in 2000, but retained the rights to build cars using the Mini name. Retrospectively, the car is known as the "Classic Mini" to distinguish it from the modern, BMW influenced MINI family of vehicles produced since 2000.
A little history about the mini, more info you find in above link to Wikipedia. 😎
