I was in Vääksy, thinking I'd get some nice photos with my trusty old Super Carenar 135mm 2.8 lens, when I came to the realisation that I had left all my memory cards home.
You can probably imagine the frustration I felt when I decided to head back home and fetch the cards.
Then this happened...
Stuck in snow
I got snow blindness while turning the car around in a parking lot, and turned the car around, straight into a heap of snow.
Gladly there was this young mother with a kid in a trolley passing by, and she offered to pull me out with her 4x4. Of course I had to wait for her to pick her kid from school first, and then get the car.
(At this point I was growing worried that I might myself not be able to fetch Miro from school in time.)
Anyhow, I tried digging my car out while she was doing her errands, but quickly got tired and wet having no shovel.
I hopped in and tried watching some videos from YouTube, but she came back sooner than I thought.
With the help of her offroader, we eventually got my car out and I was feeling so thankful I couldn't almost put it into words. I was finally able to go fetch Miro from school.
In hindsight, I must buy a shovel.
So thank you young lady, whoever you are!
