There's a 30 pound steel plate in there. I absolutely hate running so walking with weight on my back is a better form of cardio for me personally.
It's something we used to do in the military all the time, but then it was with much more weight at a much faster pace. These days I try and keep a brisk pace, just enough to get my heart rate up without feeling like I'm going to die.
I'm going to try and do this at least once a week as well as get back in the gym on a regular basis. The last few months I've been slacking and my waistline is letting me know in a big way!
