Hanomag 2/10 - one of the cutest cars ever made
Every time I see the Hanomag in the museum, I smile. How not to smile when it is the cutest little car you can imagine.
In was manufactured in Germany from 1924 – 1928.
Its name gives us some clues about its performances. Number 2 stands for the taxation category and number 10 means – 10 hp. Mighty 10 hp from 502 ccm engine that transfers the power via 3 speed gearbox. And no differential, like on go-kart. With only about 400 kg of weight it was enough for the top speed of 60 kph. The consumption was very low, even in comparison with the modern cars, 4 l/100 km.
There were 4 versions:
• L2 = 2-sitzige Limousine
• R2 = 2-sitziger Roadster
• Cb2 = 2-sitziges Cabriolet
• Ld2 = 2-sitziges Landaulet
If you have some images of Hanomag variations, plase send me.
