The Ford Model T doesn't care that it snowed again, I wonder what snow adventures it's had so far in it's life.
Daddy must have taken this T-bird away bcause it certainly hasn't moved in a while!
As a journey person automotive service technician who services most brands you'd think I've seen it all. Well follow along on this little saftey adventure.
A 2011 Ford pickup was towed in for a no start concern. It started right up, I wasn't concerned. The battery turned out to be faulty and while setting out for a test drive I noticed this seatbelt contraption.
There was no buckle on this $60,000 Platinum edition truck! Instead in it's place was this tie down strap held on with some wire.
There was a lot of other fun stuff under the seat too. I think that might be underwear...
It turns out the owner had the new part at home and brought it to me for installation. It's bizarre to think that they went through the hassle to remove the old buckle and wire in the hook, but not install the new part. And to top it all off this vehicle will not let the radio work without the drivers seat buckled up.
Even the tow trucks need repair sometimes. This unit was leaking fuel, I had my young apprentice do the repair so I wouldn't smell of diesel for days.
Now for some completly random #shopshots with minimal explanation.
