EV Sales Blogspot published China's EV sales for the month of May and the results are stunning: 95,000 EVs (BEV and PHEV) have been sold.
Best performing models
just as last month, the BAIC EC-Series was the best sold car in the Asian country. Over 12,500 units have been sold, probably an all-time record for a single model in one month. Second was the BYD Qin PHEV with 'only 4,500 units registered and in third place came the Zhidou D2 EV.
16 of the 20 best sold EVs were Battery Electric Vehicles, so without an extra internal combustion engine or generator. Another sign that the full EV has the future.
I'm curious whether June will be the first month to surpass the milestone of 100,000 plug-in cars sold.
