I've been wanting to swap out my ignition barrel for a while, but in doing so meant also swapping out the door locks and boot lock as I didn't want to have two different keys for it.
I've been keeping my eye out and a few weeks ago a series 2 c34 popped up wrecking, with full lockset, barrel + 2 keys.. finally!😁Usually it's the lockset without the barrel, or vice versa. Thankfully these parts are drop in to the series 1, unlike the mirrors lol.
The sticker in the pictures is where the parts came from, he's based in Melbourne and was great to deal with, responsive, well priced and knows his stuff, AND the parts arrived early, will be using him again for sure. 😊
I was up bright and early as I'm getting my mechanic to do this for me, I didnt want to do the ignition myself so I figured he could do the lot, but I said I'd strip the areas out for him (it almost wouldn't be a normal weekend if I wasn't pulling the trims off lol) to make it easier.
I'll be very happy when I get her back!! Should only be a day or so. This has been on the list for a long time😎🎉
