When the first Civic Type R was released in Japan, it was a sensation, and boy did we miss out when it wasn't destined for the U.K. market.
Luckily for us, we got the EP3 here in 2001 - hurrah!
It's got everything you would expect from a Civic, yet it's combined with an engaging driving experience, thanks to it's high performance, uprated chassis and brakes and it's specially tuned engine.
So is it worth the hype - in a word, yes - and it clearly shows on Ben's face whenever he gets behind the wheel...😋
It's a real Jekyll and Hyde car, as it can happily potter around day-to-day, and will accommodate the family - and your shopping - easily. So what is about the other side of this car? The sporty performance, of course!
The only thing you have to remember is that to get the best out of this sporty number is to keep the revs high, and work that gearbox.
