The Silverstone Lap of Lights has returned for it's second year, and as lockdown is over, means added attractions!
We received an invitation to the offical opening event, which was launched by the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team taking the first lap.
Afterwards, the circuit was open for all to travel around the world in Santa's wake...
We saw lights and decorations from around the world, and one of our favourites was the mini display from The Italian Job.
Added this year are activities that are housed in The Lodge, including axe throwing and curling. There is also ice skating in the pits area. We headed to The Lodge to see all that they had on offer:
The invite requested festive attire,so as you can see, Ben and I got into the Christmas spirit, sporting some fine head gear!
The Lodge is Silverstone's hospitality suite for track days, and for the Christmas season. it has been transformed into your ideal Apres-ski destination. With live music, good food and drinks, it's an ideal family trip.
If you like Christmas lights - with the added bonus of avoiding the cold by seeing them from your car - then The Lap of Lights is definitely worth a visit, especially if you like cars.
We had the new MG ZS EV Long Range on review that week, so we filmed a road trip to showcase it's capabilities, and if you haven't seen it yet, here's a link:
Thank you all, and enjoy!
Annabelle 😊
