Last week the Planet Auto team tested the new Skoda Kodiaq vRS.
We covered several hundred miles over a week carrying out our normal tasks from nipping to the shops to getting lost in the fog in the Lake District trying to find famous ginger bread.
The Kodiaq starts at just under £43,000 however the model we tested with options cost just over £48,000. As well as the sporty styling, generous equipment you get seven seats.
Under the bonnet is a twin turbo 2.0 TDI engine with a seven speed DSG gearbox, this can get the Kodiaq from 0-60mph in a brisk 7.0 seconds and will top out at 136mph. Despite the performance figures economy is still very respectable at 40mpg.
It must be said from the offset the Skoda Kodiaq is a very capable, very refined and enjoyable car to drive and to passenger.
During our test we take a look at the cars practicality, functionality, what it’s like to drive and then answer the important question.... Is this the right car for you?
