The name originates from the pilot Pierre Veyron, who just aboard a car Bugatti won in 1939 the 24 hours of Le Mans.
The Veyron is powered by a technological evolution of the Wolkswagen Passat engine and a Michelin tire designed to meet the speed of over 400 kilometers the car arrives. Because of this high speed guaranteed, the car needs several cooling systems, so the model comes up with about 10 different radiators in different parts of the engine and the car.
In order to be able to exploit aerodynamics to achieve such speeds, the car undergoes real transformations over 220 kilometers per hour: in fact, the car is lowered to reduce the impact with the air, while the retractable exterior spoiler rises to provide a much superior road holding.
To get more than 400 kilometers per hour, you also need to enter a second key to allow the car to get to a fully secure and suitable speed facility.
