Zeekr, a premium brand owned by Chinese Geely, presented the Zeekr X model less than a month ago. According to electrive.com, it will officially launch in China in Q2 2023 and will debut in European countries, including Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden. The first EU Zeekr stores will be launched in Stockholm and Amsterdam in 2023, and the first deliveries will begin at the end of this year. The first Zeekr EV in Europe will be a 001 fastback SUV, which Zeekr calls shooting brake and the mid-size SUV Zeekr X. Debut in Q4 2023.
It has versions of a single motor (rear-wheel drive) with 272 hp or two motors, with 428 hp (total) and a range of 500-560 km. The Zeekr X is based on the firm’s Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA), and it has the same powertrain and battery as the Smart #1.
Options include, for example, a small LCD display on the B-pillar displaying information about the status of the vehicle (e.g. battery charging status) or the so-called "pet mode" - active air conditioning in case we have to leave our pet in the car.
Prices in China are around $30,000 for a twin-engine vehicle equipped with, among other things, YAMAHA's thirteen-speaker audio system.
