On Sunday Mom and I caught a feral cat. On Monday we went to take the cat to the local spay and neuter place at 8 AM. Mom had already made an appointment with them in advance.
We dropped off the cat in the trap and Mom paid extra so the cat can get fixed and get shots too. It would have been just $40 to fix the cat, but $50 to fix the cat and give it shots, so Mom did the later.
The cat seemed pretty quiet until it heard all the other cats meowing. Then it started to have this worried loud meow.
This cat is like an older kitten of the same litter of the last two kittens that were either spayed or neutered. Mom wants to eventually spay and neutered all the feral cats that she feeds.
There is a woman on the same street that Mom lives on that feeds the cats, but they keep on multiplying. So of the feral cats that end up in Mom's backyard will she plan on fixing.
Mom still wants to catch the mother of the last litter that we know of and there is still one more of the litter that has not be taken care of.
When we came to pick up the cat at 4 PM we found out that it was a boy cat. The cat seemed pretty calm and didn't meow. I think this cat was the most calm of the cats that we have fixed.
Today I drove mom's car, her 89 Dodge Spirit to drop off the cat and to pick him up. It runs good and I am glad that I changed mom's windshield wipers.
You see it finally rained here. In my other blogs I have mentioned that I haven't seen rain in a long while. Well it was good to see the rain today and those new windshield wipers work pretty good.
As we picked up the cat, mom made another appointment to fix another cat. That would be sometime in the middle of next month.
So Mom will feed and water the cat in her garage until Wednesday afternoon, then let him go so he can be with his siblings and the other feral cats.
