A friend of mine found four, six-week old kittens living in his garage. The mother was never seen so they were thought to have been abandoned. All four kittens were very skittish and did not trust humans at all. We were worried that the kittens would become feral because they ran from humans at first sight.
They used a laptop playing video of a mother cat calling her kittens to eventually draw out the kittens from their hiding places in the garage. If you look carefully, you can see them hiding together.
They were a little bitey at first, and tried at every opportunity to escape. However, they eventually learned where the food came from and all of them started to show strong signs of becoming tame.
My friend called the local animal shelter to setup foster homes for them until they are at 10 weeks of age. Then they will be adopted out to forever homes.
Except for one... This is Lil' Bit, and she is absolutely adorable.
She is very photogenic, very friendly, very thankful, and she just LOVES her new owners. Just look at those eyes, you can tell how much she adores her owners for saving her.
