Well, I generally write happy, sweet and cute posts about my cat pets, but today it’s going to be different, it’s going to be a DARK CAT story, however, the irony of it is that the protagonist of this dark cat story is a bright white cat, Mochu.
I used to think it had a heart of a dirty cockroach before because it used to eat roaches, which I eventually thought was good because there is a roach exterminator in the house. Indeed one day, as I was opening the front door, there was a cockroach insect that waited for me to open the front door, so he/she can run away, it must be because those roaches would dare not be in the house where Mochu is there, it’s an expert roach killer.
However, I thought that Mochu had a rotten nature long before I knew of its roach appetite because it was a selfish cat that eats costly wet food but won’t let you touch him and so I used to think that the white cat has a dark heart black of a roach deep within it. A good contrast with white exterior but a dark dark black exterior!!
Those early days, Mochu used to scratch if you touched or petted him, or tried to pick him up, he would be screeching to high decibel levels. I got lot of scratches from it. Of late, he has become a more civilized home cat and those scratches don’t happen. He lets you pet him, comes to you when bored and even shows out his neck to pet, and many times he has not eaten roaches too, I have shued the cat and got rid of roach by myself. This is after almost 1 and a half years of association with the cat. However, in all this time I was not having the nerve to take Mochu for its vaccination but recently I tried getting him to the clinic which it did not work out.
It was easy to have cat Mochu enter the cat carier and lock him by putting wet food inside the carrier but quite something to carry and take him out. He converted into a cat that screeches shamelessly bringing all the neighbors attention and even those I guess who reside more than 10 kms away. He even took his hand or leg out of the cat gate of the carrier and scratched me, it was not a painful scratch I guess because it did not want to hurt me.
So, I freed this cat home and vaccinated my other sweet cat that has a heart of gold taking him to the clinic. This other first original cat of my house, Garu was such a breeze that the neighbours who came out frightened with Mochu’s screeches began curiously petting Garu, the other cat inside the zipped bag, as he was a harmless cat, even though he hated doctor clinic outings.
A testament to Garu’s golden heart and good nature is that, it accepted and shared its home 1 and a half years back with a selfish and irritating cat like Mochu even though Garu was an adult cat that had not been in interaction with other cats ever since he was brought home when it was a 3 months old kitten. There were of course occasional associations Garu had seeing another cats in a carrier where Garu took to hiss. And also times when Garu had a big cat in our flat compound chase him, and Garu dashed off into hiding underneath a car. However, that’s about it.
Anyway… delving into the dark story. Cat Mochu’s has it’s defects, occasionally it behaved in a wild way fighting with cat Garu, it happened only after a third cat used to be on the front door and though these home cats never had any actual contact with the other outside cat, they would be on the inside side of the closed home door while the 3rd big cat on the outside of the closed home door and after some movements, it was like the white cat got possessed, as it begins to get uneasy and there erupts a fight between Garu and Mochu with Mochu making the most frightening uncivilized wild cat noises I have ever heard.
Mochu finally retreats into hiding and I take Garu away. Little Garu, even when Mochu is in such a fit goes to it, while Mochu makes angry noises and fights with his hands. This issue usually resolves by itself where at one point Garu and Mochu stop hissing seeing each other, accept their presence slowly and come near each other and eventually begin to smell and lick each other and eventually become friends.
However, when Mochu becomes wild, he is frightening, but that’s really quite occasional. The offensive sounds he makes at that time, is just threatening!! That even instigates Garu, a sweet thing into a light hissing offensive mode, man cats have strong feelings of self worth too, Garu hates it when Mochu is frightening to him and asserts itself.
Anyway, now delving into the point which is dark...kidding. I succeeded in getting cat Mochu vaccinated, but in return that thing bit me in my thumb, and I took tetanus injection and have been given medicines comprising painkillers and antibiotics. It pained and still pains a bit and there is swelling, but it’s getting better.
How this happened is the dark story I wanted to narrate, maybe next post? .
On the question weather cat Mochu is still a good pet, or a rotten pet with a heart of a roach, I should say he makes a lovely pet, even if difficult and though he bit me it was only because he did not want to be caught to be administered injections. Post that, Mochu’s feeling down, not eating much, he hid in some kitchen cupboard most of yesterday, refuses to sleep where he usually does alone, yesterday he preferred being underneath my bed after being driven out of the kitchen cupboard where he was in hiding. He is less playful and makes low sad sound noises, contrary to the demanding feline that he is!!.
Today however, it rubbed on me after I embraced him lovingly, so it’s not totally unkind in its part.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed the photos, I will write about Mochu’s bite in detail next post. This is really getting long.
