Mama cat.... aka Good Girl, (GG) has been with me for 4 1/2 years now. She is an exceptionally good pet. Sweet and loving still playful like a kitten and getting along with all the other cats, (there are 9) in the house.
I first saw Mama sitting under my bird feeder, waiting for a vole to pop up from one of their holes, or getting lucky with an unsuspecting bird
It struck me odd to see an all white cat out loose fending for it'self. I saw her take a vole into the adjacent woods and tossing it into the air over and over. The cat looked in good shape, not thin. Having 3 male cats at the time I figured it was a boy.
This was the end of March. So big hearted me started putting out food. As time went on I noticed the cat's belly getting bigger. That's when the light bulb went off in my head, female and pregnant cat.
I figured she gave birth around the middle of May. Because after that she got thinner and started to come around to get fed 4 or 5 times a day..
She was getting very thin. Walking back and forth 4 times a day and nursing who knows how many kittens was taking a toll on her. She needed more help than just me feeding her.
By this time we had developed a trust between us, so I decided to follow her to the den. It took me a couple of times to find it. I started to feed her by the den to save her waking back and forth. After awhile I got to see the first kittens leaving the den, which was in the middle of a partial shid of Belgium Blocks.
Here is the first picture of kitten coming out of den.... Look close in the middle of picture. .....Hint, white, pink ears.
The story goes on how Mama cat and her 4 babies all wound up with me, but I'll save that for another time.
