You missed a spot over there... Oh, why is is my foodbowl so empty? Why are you pointing that thing at me?
Don't I look gorgeous and appealing enough for you to take pity on me and feed me some more?
Mr blue-eyes above was living on the hill when I moved into my house, it seemed like he and 2 other cats had been abandoned and moved to a spot among some rocks. I found one freshly dead there around this time 3 years ago, just before I moved in and there was another male that I could never catch that died six months later that winter. Fate was kinder to Toffee because he was bold enough to start coming into the house and I caught him a few weeks before his brother died when he limped in, too starving and defeated to care that I was there. Lots of food and patience got him tamer because by then he'd been living rough for 9 months. As an intact, fully-developed male, he had a huge head and very muscular body, something he's never quite lost. He also hasn't lost his territoriality or ability to yowl and sing like a tomcat and he always lets me know that there are other cats in the area.
The poor boy is terribly afraid of rain and thunder and always goes to hide under the kitchen table so I made him a little hidey-hole with blankets to retreat to. But most of all, he loves food.
