At 449 meters above sea level, a faint ringing fills the ears — perhaps from the change in air pressure, or maybe from the dance of the mountain winds.
The heart feels light, almost dancing itself, as the eyes meet the familiar silhouette of the Tower and the endless plain stretching all the way toward Banatska Palanka. In the distance, one can almost feel the river — that great, storied river.
How small and fragile a human seems against the vastness of nature, and yet how breathtakingly beautiful and merciless she can be at the same time.
