One of our favorite thing to do during the weekend is to climb the hill at the back of our village. It has a hill with a good view of the entire Cebu City. I can see SM Seaside from there and the other skyscrapers of the city. In fact, we would watch fireworks display from here!
It was once a green filled hill. Full of foliage, grasses, trees, weeds here and there. Since December last year, we missed to climb it because of the busy schedule.
Today, we finally got the chance to climb it again. I miss watching local kids play, some other teenagers play volleyball too at the top of the mountain and those who have pets would often go out to walk their pets.
I know a certain construction has been going on lately but I don't have a single idea that they had turned my once favorite hill into a bald one. Check the images I took today.
Those goats were once fed with those grasses and other plants. I recall there were even wild eggplants there and guava trees there before.
Now, its all bald. A house development company will be building another subdivision. I will definitely miss going here once that projects gets done. Of course, there will be home owners and some restrictions in coming over here.
Seeing the cityscape from the hill feels good. It feels like I was on top of the world, or at least of Cebu.
Aside from the urban life, I can also see the simple community at the back of the hill. Houses with different colors and some would even remind of the community we have in Bohol.
Look at the clothes hang at the terrace part of the house! We used to do that back in our old house in Bohol before.
But aside from that, I like the view of houses located at the further hill.
We usually wait for golden hour. Here, the sun was about to set. I love seeing flares on my photos.
I had taken a lot of photos as well of the children playing at the hill. It was a bit funny that they are still playing there but they are playing with soil. Sliding through the flatted soil.
I'll share the children't photos tomorrow.
