Merry Christmas everyone,the season of love, a time of reflection and reconciliation. The time of the year when even enemies seem to get along, a time when we put aside all our differences and put joy first.
Truth be told, we know things will return to business as usual after the celebrations, but then let us bask in the distraction of the season and try to put aside our worries for even a second.
I guess the crypto investors will understand me better when I say the market has really brought out the red in this Christmas and everyone hopes to see more of the green. Of course, the Christmas colors are red and green.
Have we made absolutely any progress throughout the year? What difference did we make that we feel is worth celebrating?
So many people traveled to their home towns, some traveled abroad to foreign lands, while others (like myself), simply stayed glued to their environment.
What makes this Christmas worth celebrating? We are planning to eat, drink and be merry, but Christmas is much more.
Have we had our sober reflections? Have we made an impact in the lives of those who are under us? What special gift have we gotten for our loved ones? People look forward to Christmas, I look forward to other days of the year.
Love is not only about one day of the year in all fairness, it is an everyday journey, it should grow daily and never stop growing.
By this time next week, we'll be in the new year, what are our new year resolutions? Of course, we know we'll probably break 90 percent of them in 10 percent of the year.
I believe in the community spirit, so as I sit on my bed, keyboard under my control, this early morning by fifteen minutes till 5am, eyes red hot, hands blazing, keyboards sounding, pc misbehaving, battery draining, I look at all the feats the Nigerian community has achieved, I look at how far steemit has come.
I think of greater heights, I say show gratitude, I say think of ways to better your efforts, don't look at the mistakes and failures of the past and dwell there, instead take the knowledge and forge ahead.
Move up the ladder of success (not necessarily financially), just keep moving and make a difference.
Instead of eating like a glutton, share with those who don't have, instead of drinking to stupor, give alms, instead of spending frivolously, save more, spend some and give some more.
So we've worked hard all year round on steemit and in our everyday lives, how about we unwind and have some fun while carrying our faculties fully intact.
Don't drink and drive, always use a seat belt, no cheating, remember that Christmas is but a day, but the message lasts throughout the whole year.
Every life here is important, don't be reckless with yours. Enjoy the fruits of your hard work and always strive to do more. This is just the beginning for us all, never fail to live a planned life and never fail to bless others.
