Hello my dear brothers, today at the #celestialchallenge initiated by
, I am going to deal with a very important issue such as the heart.
Structure of the heart
Structure of the heart From the outside, the heart is surrounded by a double membrane wall, called the pericardium. ... Towards the interior of the myocardium is the heart wall, which from the histological point of view, has three layers. The outermost layer is a layer of squamous epithelium (endothelium).
How is the heart of the human being?
The heart is divided into four chambers or cavities: two superiors, called the right atrium (right atrium) and the left atrium (left atrium); and two lower ones, called right ventricle and left ventricle.
The function of the heart is to pump blood to all corners of the body. The blood collects oxygen as it passes through the lungs and circulates to the heart to be propelled to all parts of the body.
The heart is the most important muscle of the human body. It is the key organ of the circulatory system, since it "pumps" blood to all our tissues and to the liver, kidneys, brain, which depend on good circulation to function optimally.
What meaning does the heart have in the Bible?
Obviously, as human beings we have a physical heart, but we are also all aware that we have something deep within our being that we recognize as an intangible heart.
But what exactly does this intangible heart mean? Since we were little, we have heard the word heart in everyday language, literature, music and in other contexts. And most of us probably have a general definition of the heart thinking that the heart is something that is inside of us, that feels different emotions such as love, affection, compassion or pain.
In the Bible, the heart is not defined by a single verse; It is transmitted through many verses and easily goes unnoticed. For God and for us, the heart is very important, because the Bible mentions it, hundreds of times. So, what is the Word of God saying about our heart? and why is it important for God and for us?
The Bible mentions the human heart almost 300 times. In essence, this is what it says: the heart is the spiritual part of us where our emotions and desires inhabit
Before we look at the human heart, we will mention that, since God has emotions and desires, it can also be said that He has a "heart". We have a heart because God has one. David was a man "according to the heart of God" (Acts 13:22). And God blesses His people with leaders who know and follow His heart (1 Samuel 2:35, Jeremiah 3:15).
Jesus pointed out the fallen condition of our hearts in Mark 7: 21-23: "For from within, out of the heart of men, come forth the evil thoughts, the adulteries, the fornications, the murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, envy, slander, arrogance, foolishness, all these evil things come from within, and defile man. " Our biggest problem is not external but internal; We all have a heart problem.
For a person to be saved, then, the heart must be changed. This only happens through the power of God in response to faith. "For with the heart one believes for righteousness" (Romans 10:10). In His grace, God can create a new heart within us (Psalm 51:10, Ezekiel 36:26). He promises to "quicken the heart of the broken" (Isaiah 57:15).
God's work of creating a new heart within us involves testing our hearts (Psalm 17: 3, Deuteronomy 8: 2) and filling our hearts with new ideas, new wisdom and new desires (Nehemiah 7: 5, 1 Kings 10: 24, 2 Corinthians 8:16).
The heart is the core of our being, and the Bible establishes a high importance in keeping our hearts pure: "Keep your heart above all things stored up, for out of it flows life" (Proverbs 4:23).

"Our relationship with the Lord is always initiated and maintained through the heart. Of course, having contact with the Lord is a matter of the spirit, nevertheless this must be initiated and maintained by the heart, because our heart is the door of our whole being ".
