First of all, I m grateful to for this topic, Agriculture. I have some first hand experience to share for interested people as it is one of the most interesting topics for some.
As I have mentioned in the title agriculture is my family's profession. I am brought up in a village, where i used to help my uncles grandfather with agriculture stuff. I remember we use to have bulls with a long wooden hook, we used to go in field and dig out a little to plant the seed in. That all feels like a dream now, a beautiful dream.
Agriculture is a hard work. Especially in areas like where i was brought up. You have to dig route for water to your fields. Then there is allotted time for water , if you miss your turn you are at risk for loosing all your hard work.
For me the most fascinating experience was to plant the rice. For that you have to fill the field with water, water water level should be knee up. Then you plant the seed or in some cases the little plant in the soft soil under water. If you are planting the plants, you make sure there tip is up in the air. You change water of rewater the whole field every 10 days. after a season you get the best rice available.
