Though the roots are bound in the Cement, this tree’s life force is clearly radiant. Last year I saw it’s branches cut back to little more than stumps in some cases and yet this year it is thriving again.
The trials it undergoes seem to add to its beauty. The twisted, scarred trunk tearing through the Cement, helped along by the moss growing in the cracks in the shade of its ample canopy. This tree is a model for me, a microcosm of nature vs. the encroaching metropolis. Life will triumph over the forces of Cement and be stronger for it. Life is not bound by the gravitational force that rules over the Cement.
This tree attends to the spring at the Rama Temple here in Gokarna and I think that holy water must be part of the reason for the energy it radiates.
Get over it Cement. You’re old news.
