Five of my favorite channels gone this week. I had a feeling Youtube was going down; well we were warned. I don't know enough about net neutrality to blame that, but we felt it and what's done is done- despite adversity we will continue to freely use our minds, and help each other through the Internet- we will keep researching, critically thinking, and being the powerful creators that we are ! Thank you SO MUCH for all of the knowledge, friendship, comfort, laughs, and motivation from these people who dedicate their lives to put forth information that contributes to humanity as a whole. the fact that we are able to communicate and share information accross the globe (whether round or flat haha) so quickly and efficiently is life-changing . With the fall of Youtube, thank goodness everyone has been switching to Dtube (hint hint..)
For aesthetics & those who have never seen Dtube:
(It looks like youtube & can be embedded into Steemit just like youtube embeds into facebook p.s. you get paid)
Anyways,
I have learned a LOT from video channels and really have discovered a lot about myself and humanity and what I perceive as my reality. Take everything with a grain of salt, don't let negative topics have a negative effect on you- just because the information it isn't pretty or carried out in the most politically correct of ways, doesn't mean you should be scared/saddened/offended which deter you from discovering-- We are all doing the best we can to help and inform each other, no matter what tone of voice someone uses to relay their information- keep an open mind and trust your heart.
I dedicate this thread to all of the people who have spent so much time helping others online. Whether its talking about getting in touch with your emotions, or how to get motivated, to the hackers actually risking their lives to bring information to light- it is absolutely beautiful and it touches my soul that people want to help me/us .. in the most simple of ways.
I have been comforted by total strangers numerous times that it BRINGS ME TO TEARS that people want to help others so much so that they record videos of them or type long stories of their experiences that could help us with something we might be struggling with or dont understand: It's absolute compassion and the ultimate form of humanity because we're all in this together and its up to us to get through this together. - i love you. Keep creating.
With that being said, i suggest using a keep video site to anyone who watches youtube on the regular or has favorite videos they always refer to- those videos might be gone sooner than you think- Save and download them ! I like www.keepvid.com and www.save-vid.com one always works if the other doesn't
